Gagik Yeghiazarian

Gagik Yeghiazarian is the managing partner of KPartners jsc.

Gagik specializes in the tax, corporate, M&A, and asset finance areas. He holds more than 20 years of professional work experience, of which 14 years were spent at the consulting arm of Messrs Arthur Andersen legal and tax practice (1994-2000) in Moscow, and subsequently in Yerevan at KPartners JSC, the firm, which he established and runs as its managing partner since 2000. KPartners signed a referral service agreement with Arthur Andersen in 2000.

Gagik's clietele includes Cronimet Holdings GMBH, Lincy Foundation, Ernst & Young, Luter Menold, Tetrapak, Zeppelin/Caterpilar, ArmenTel, Integrien Inc., First Dynasty Mines/Sterlite Gold, Ararat Gold Recovery Company, TetraPak, IconApps., Cheslyn Holdings, Cytec, NCG, major multinational companies in hospitality, telecommunication, IT, mining, energy/gas, utilities and other industries. He had held professional and other training sessions for many both state and private bodies, including, but not limited to, the Central Bank of Armenia, HSBC, Coca-Cola, the World Bank, Eurasia Foundation, Anelik Bank, Converse Bank, ArmenTel, Arlex International, and Armenia Marriott Hotel. He is also the first point of contact correspondent adviser for a number of international professional organisations, such as the Ernst & Young, Luther Menold, and White & Case, to name a few, both in the Armenian and international markets.

Whilst at Andersen in Moscow Gagik had provided the full scope tax and legal advisory services to Motorola, Hughes, Sandvik, British Airways, Swissair, Enron, Camco/REDA, Intercontinental Hotels Corporation, Penta Hotels GmbH, JVC, Transammonia, Czarsugar, Hudson Foods, Eveready, and Mosenergo.

In 1997 Gagik was invited to Yerevan by the Armenian Government to support the development and implementation of country’s investment and export promotions' policy. He worked as the Deputy Minister of Privatization and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Armenia, and then was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, whilst still responsible for the investment and export development and promotion. In 1998 Gagik had initiated the establishment of and was appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer at the Armenian Development Agency (ADA), the main investment promotion body and the one-stop-shop for investors in Armenia. He also served as the Executive Secretary of the State Investment Promotion and Protection Board.

Gagik had structured and successfully implemented a considerable number of multi-million dollar investment and export development projects, as a result of which effort several thousand sustainable jobs were created in the country. Gagik had represented the Republic of Armenia in numerous international forums and organizations. With the purpose of attracting foreign investment to Armenia Gagik had organised various investment promotion forums in the US, Japan, the Netherlands (for the European Union member countries), Canada, and Switzerland. He had also played a key role in the establishment of the Armenian Jeweler’s International Association, uniting several thousand Armenian and other businesses and individuals from 22 countries on four continents.

A qualified Armenian lawyer and an internationally certified auditor, Gagik is a graduate of the Harvard University in the United States. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the American University of Armenia, prior to which time he had completed undergarduate studies at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute Machine Building Faculty, with high honours.
